POSITION SUMMARY

  • Establishes, implements, monitors, and audits quality systems and procedures to track IATF16949 and customer requirements.

  • Coordinates and implements Quality activities, including launch and maintenance of product/processes with other departments.

  • Coordinates overall launch processes in accordance with AIAG Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and/or customer requirements.

  • Supervision of others including but not limited to Quality Technicians, Quality Programmers, and Calibration technicians.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Develop and research new processes or improvements to existing processes, tooling, and equipment including gauging techniques.

  • Analyze gauging requirements per customer specifications and cost along with considering alternative methods.

  • Development and implementation of quality plans including AIAG APQP, work instructions, and inspection requirements to ISO/IATF16949 and customer requirements.

  • Assures existing or new tooling and equipment meets both customer and Madison-Kipp Corporation requirements utilizing statistical techniques, tolerance analysis, process studies, etc.

  • Serves as a team member of production personnel troubleshooting operational issues on a daily basis including corrective action plans to bring non-conforming processes or tooling.

  • May assist in the assembly and/or installation of equipment, mainly gauging systems.

  • Compiles and reports out data on plant operations.

  • Coordinates and maintains corrective action systems (for internal and external) so that the identification, prioritization, and correction of problems occur efficiently and effectively.

  • Coordinates or participates in launch process which may include budgets, Failure Mode Effects Analysis process reviews, gauging, reliability goals, etc.

  • Attend continual improvement training seminars and instructional classes to remain current with industry standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4-year College Degree in a related field or equivalent experience and education

  • Strong communication and organization skills.

  • Excellent computer skills, including excel and other software.
